As one of the designers, my main responsibility was to create the urban legend of the Lamp Lighter in Joo Chiat. I also contributed to brainstorming sessions, helping to shape the other characters and guiding my team in their design decisions. Being the first to complete my design, I set the visual tone for the project, providing a clear direction for the rest of the team and streamlining our collaboration.

Based on the lamp lighter in Joo Chiat. They say this shadowy figure will start appearing in the corner of your eye if you let projects go unfinished near their deadline.
The Lamp Lighter takes shape as a boss in an advertising agency, dressed in a suit with a briefcase. Holding a lamp, his modern appearance symbolizes the constant pressure of looming deadlines. The levitating hourglass he carries signifies the time ticking away, amplifying the anxiety designers feel as projects near completion.
I envisioned the Lamp Lighter as a Slenderman-like figure, silently creeping up behind you as you walk, stalking and increasing the pressure. As the deadline approaches, he grows bigger and more menacing, embodying the escalating stress and looming fear that tightens around you the closer you get to the finish line.
